Color Matching Activity for Toddlers
I cannot begin to tell you the kind of belly laughs we got from this activity. Emmy (2 yrs) was so proud of herself with each cereal piece she correctly placed. But Nora (15 months) was right by her side and couldn’t control herself. She kept swiping the cereal pieces and popping them in her mouth!
We eventually had to move to higher ground for Emmy to finish. And then of course she ate all the cereal!
This is a great activity to help your toddler learn their colors. It can be done with many other items aside from cereal: pom poms, buttons, or even small toys.
As with most of our activities, we chose to laminate this color matching mat so that it could be used many times over in the future.
