Scrap Paper Christmas Tree Printable

Construction paper is heavily used in our home. We craft with it about 2-3 times per week. I can’t tell you how many times my girls have heard me say “save that scrap! We can use it for something else!” and today we finally got to do just that!

I gathered up red, green, and yellow scrap paper from our craft room and showed Emmy the blank Christmas tree printable (you can download it for free at the end of this post). I told her we wanted to fill it with green for the branches, add some yellow to make our star and we needed ornaments as well. She went to work cutting up our scraps into small enough pieces that she could fill the tree with them.

She went to work with gluing and adding the pieces of scrap paper. This activity was a great fine motor skill, in both the cutting and the pasting.

Her finished product was great!
