Fall Finger Painting: A Counting Activity for Toddlers (Free Printable Included!)

What toddler doesn’t love an activity that includes finger painting?! Something about the chance to get all messy is always a hit with my girls!

This counting activity was more aligned with Nora’s learning level (She turned 3 last month). We started this activity by explaining that the leaves needed just the right number of leaves. She needed to add the number of leaves shown at the bottom of the tree.

I then let her pick out her paint colors she wanted for her leaves. She picked brown and orange. She mixed them up on a plate and got to work. I did the first two trees with her while we counted out loud together and then I stepped back to let her complete the activity on her own.
