Sharing is caring!

Play dough has to many benefits to young learning. Those little fingers are working hard to mold and squish the dough, building those fine motor muscles that will one day help your child write. They imaginations are also working hard to build their play dough creation.

Play dough is a inexpensive yet so beneficial play time activity for your toddler and preschooler!

While we love to set up play dough kits for our kids, we also love play dough mats!

Play dough mats are a little more of a guided activity than a play dough kit. They include some sort of “play dough prompt” that give the child guidance on what to create with their play dough.

Here’s a look at what is included in our 5-page Thanksgiving play dough mats that you can grab below for free!

An important note: if you want to reuse your play dough mats more than once, it is very important that you either laminate them or place them in a dry erase pouch before letting your child begin. The play dough will leave a great substance and will not come off cleanly if you place it right onto pape.

Here’s a link to the equivalent laminating machine I’ve been using for about 3 years (my exact model is no longer being made; this is the new!) and the link for the dry erase pouches. The pouches are super easy because you just slide the sheet in and it is protected.
