Over the past few months, we have been doing a ton of “name” style activities in order to help Emmy with identifying and spelling her name.
I recently used our Early Handwriting skill bundle to make a fun activity to practice writing out her name as well. Be sure to check out all the great activities that come in our Pre-handwriting Bundle available here!
Now, onto those cute little stamps… they were so simple to make. I ordered the foam letters from Amazon (they came in a pack of 200, so be prepared to see ALOT more activities including them).
I picked out the letters for Emmy’s and Nora’s names and added them to a bowl, then added about 10 extra letters into the mix. I gave the bowl to Emmy and let her hunt for the letters that made up both of their names. (I let her find E M M Y on her own, but did give her a small piece of paper with Nora’s name on it since she isn’t as familiar with her sisters name has her own).
From there, I used a hot glue gun to attach their letters to a large popsicle stick.
We then removed the adhesive backing from the sticker, added a layer of washable paint and tada! Name stamps!
Simple and fun, right?!
Now, someone please give me some ideas on what I am supposed to do with the other 192 foam letters we have on hand!
