Our family is going bonkers over the Spring weather we are experiencing right now! We spend every minute we can outside enjoying the sunshine that we have missed oh-so-MUCH!
With that being said, we’ve started to bring out all the Spring time activities for our toddler. Here are a few of the top activities we have done so far. We hope you enjoy!

Nature Scavenger Hunt
What better way to encourage your little one to get out and explore the outdoors than with a scavenger hunt?
We were able to do this activity right in our backyard, but this printable scavenger hunt would be perfect to take on a hike or nature walk as well.

Bird Feeder Pinecones
Bird feeders are a great way to attract all different species of birds to your backyard for your little ones to observe. We live in an area with a lot of trees and foliage and knew this would bring flocks of birds to our front yard!
We collected the largest pinecone we could find from our front yard and added a small amount of peanut butter to the outside. I placed the seed mix (we purchased this small bag on Amazon) onto a paper plate and Emmy sprinkled the seeds on top and rolled the pine cone around until it was completed covered.
We then tied a small string around it and secured it high enough in a tree that it would attract birds but also in a place we could easily see it. It was a huge hit and brought a ton of birds for about 3 days.
Luckily, this activity used up very little bird seed and with the bag we purchased, we can do this activity over and over again through the summer!
If you don’t have any pinecones on hand, an empty toilet paper roll will do just fine!
Make a Nature Collage
Creating a nature collage was another way to really challenge Emmy to spend some time exploring all there is outdoors. Her mission was to find anything that could stick to her “picture” she was making. We found leaves, flowers, weeds, and even a few things that didn’t stick, which was absolutely ok. It was a great way for her to understand weight and what would attach to the contact paper and what would not.
If you don’t have any contact paper on hand, you can grab some here. We’ve been using the same roll for about a year now!
Free Spring Time Printables
