Fall Leaf Marble Painting
Marble painting is exactly what it sounds like- using your marble as your paintbrush! This is a challenging twist on your average painting project- especially for toddlers!
To make these fun Fall leaves, we started with printing out a blank leaf (you can grab the download at the end of this post). I used a few pieces of painters tape on the back of the leaf to secure it to our painting tray (if you don’t have a painting tray on hand, a cardboard box will do). We then added a few drops of paint around the outside of the leaf.
From there, we dropped a marble into the tray and let Nora start tilting it around to drag the paint across the paper. This was definitely a learning process for her. At first the marble stayed along the edges and she really had to figure out how to manipulate the tray in just the right way to get the marble to cross the middle.
About half way through the process Nora requested more colors of paint (which I’m sure every toddler would), so we added in a little bit of red and started the process again. Here’s a look at her finished product:
