Sharing is caring!

The holidays mean baking all sorts of sweets in our household! While I love cooking with my kids, it can be stressful. The phrase “too many cooks in the kitchen” is even more true when two of the cooks are under the age of four!

So I’ve gathered together *simple* recipes that don’t call for too many ingredients or too much time. It would be hard to mess up many of these recipes…a little extra chocolate or a few more sprinkles would only make them sweeter!

If you are anything like me, the thought of your toddler eating large quantities of chocolate can give you heightened levels of anxiety. If you have not tried Lily’s chocolate chips yet, I would highly recommend! They have a much lower sugar content with the same sweet taste!

Here we go! Simple recipes to make with your toddler this holiday season:

Reindeer Rice Krispys

You can rarely go wrong with ricy krispy anything with kids. It’s easy to make and easy to cut into cute little shapes. Five Heart Home created these adorable reindeer treats using pretzels, sprinkles, M&M’s and cady eyes. Get her full recipe here.

On a totally different note, Five Heart Home also has the most amazing slow cooker sweet potato casserole. It’s perfect for the holiday season! Recipe here.

Christmas Pretzel Rods

Pretzel rods are great for just about every holiday. Just swap the chocolate for a colored candy melt and the right seasonal sprinkles and you’ve got a festive treat! Get details on how to make pretzel rods at Mom On Time Out.
